If you're down at Shepperton Lock on a sunny day, keep an eye out for Donnie's. It's a brand new ice cream bicycle parked by the Ferry slipway, right next to The Ferry Coffee Shop. Proper scooped ice cream, and the best view in Shepperton to eat it with. It only comes out in good weather, so if the bike isn't there, just ask at the Ferry Coffee Shop counter. Named after young Donnie, who tried the first one and announced, "it's not for baby sisters." The reel's on our socials.

๐ฐ News
The plan to build on Sunbury golf course is now a live decision, and the window for residents to comment closes on Tuesday 7th October. Developer Cater Properties wants to put 507 homes, a 75-bed care home and a medical centre on the site, reconfiguring the course to 12 holes with a driving range. Supporters point to the housing and the 600-plus construction jobs. Objectors point to the borough's only public 18-hole course, its 644 members and 72,000 rounds played last year, plus the old landfill underneath, flood risk and protected wildlife. Councillors for Laleham and Shepperton are pushing for it to be decided by a full planning committee rather than behind closed doors. We've laid out what's proposed, the arguments on both sides, and how to submit your comment here: The Sunbury golf course plan explained.
