Staines Community Centre, Thames Street. A brand new weekly club launching this week for anyone who likes taking photos. Learn new skills, share tips and ideas, explore different styles from landscapes to close-ups, and meet like-minded people. Runs every Thursday to 17th December. Bambolina and Dodo's Dream by Circle of Two.
Memorial Gardens, Staines-upon-Thames. When the clock strikes twelve, magic begins and a doll comes to life. Influenced by the silent film days of expressive clowning, Circle of Two tell a touching story about an eccentric inventor through physical theatre and acrobatic skills. The last of this summer's free outdoor theatre season. Free.

Hampton Hill Theatre. Final performances of Teddington Theatre Club's production. It's 1988, and Tory MP Robin Hesketh has returned home to the Cotswolds for the weekend, where his wife Diana is waiting and not in the mood for small talk. A gripping, razor-sharp two-hander about love, loss and the irreparable rifts in both a marriage and a nation. Tickets.

The Walled Garden, Thames Street, Sunbury-on-Thames. The last Music in the Park of the summer. Bring your own chair or picnic blanket, and the Sunbury Gallery Café is open for refreshments. Free, no booking required.

Family Fun Day.

Bin Rat by The Last Baguette.
Memorial Gardens, Staines-upon-Thames. Rescheduled from earlier in the month because of the heatwave. A rat-astic and realistic look into refuse and recycling. Rummage through the rubble with Bin Rat to discover where all the junk goes, and find out what literally happens to litter. Free, 50 minutes, suitable for all ages. Outdoor event, so dress for the weather.
If you're down at Shepperton Lock on a sunny day, keep an eye out for Donnie's. It's a brand new ice cream bicycle parked by the Ferry slipway, right next to The Ferry Coffee Shop. Proper scooped ice cream, and the best view in Shepperton to eat it with. It only comes out in good weather, so if the bike isn't there, just ask at the Ferry Coffee Shop counter. Named after young Donnie, who tried the first one and announced, "it's not for baby sisters." The reel's on our socials.

🍺 Saturday 12th September, from 1pm
The Last Over Festival.
Sunbury Cricket Club. The festival formerly known as the Beer, Gin & Music Festival returns, with live music from Hooky Band, L.A. Duo and Carl Buckley, a good selection of beers, wines, gins and Pimm's, plus stalls selling local produce and food. £20 adults, £10 for ages 12-17, under 12s free. Tickets.
👋 Thursday 17th September, 5-7pm
Shepperton Business Connect.
The Ferry Coffee Shop, Shepperton Lock. Co-hosted by The Sheppertonian and nikibakes. A relaxed, friendly way for local business owners to meet, chat and make connections. No pitches, no pressure, just good coffee and conversation. Free to attend.
⚓ Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September
Dunkirk Little Ships Veteran's Cruise.
On Saturday the Little Ships depart Penton Hook Marina at 12.30pm, heading down river through Chertsey and Shepperton Locks to Weybridge Mariners Club. On Sunday they leave Weybridge at 10.30am, through Sunbury Lock and back past Desborough Island and Hamhaugh Island, arriving around 1pm. Come and wave, cheer and fly the flags as they pass.
