🎤 Wednesday 16th September, 8-10pm
Come and Sing! with Walton Voices.

Bell Farm Primary School, Hersham. Ever sung in a choir, or fancy giving it a go? A no obligation try out, no need to read music, no audition, and there will even be tea and cake.

If you're down at Shepperton Lock on a sunny day, keep an eye out for Donnie's. It's a brand new ice cream bicycle parked by the Ferry slipway, right next to The Ferry Coffee Shop. Proper scooped ice cream, and the best view in Shepperton to eat it with. It only comes out in good weather, so if the bike isn't there, just ask at the Ferry Coffee Shop counter. Named after young Donnie, who tried the first one and announced, "it's not for baby sisters." The reel's on our socials.

👀 Looking ahead

⚓ Saturday 19th - Sunday 20th September
Dunkirk Little Ships Veteran's Cruise.

The Little Ships depart Penton Hook Marina on Saturday, heading down river through Chertsey and Shepperton Locks to Weybridge Mariners Club. On Sunday they head out again via Sunbury Lock. Worth marking the calendar to come and wave, cheer and fly the flags as they pass by.

🏛️ Saturday 19th September

Portsmouth Road, Esher. For the first time since 2019, visitors can go inside the historic Belvedere Tower, alongside the Grade I listed garden's serpentine lake, grotto, amphitheatre and panoramic views. One day only.

The Sheppertonian Business Club

The Sheppertonian is paid for by a handful of local businesses, which is what keeps it free for everyone else. This week, thank you to:

The Ferry Coffee Shop: purveyors of fine coffee, tea and snacks, by the lock.
Meon Media: small business support.
Island Motors: family-run MOT and servicing, who will collect and return your car.

They sit at the top of the Shepperton business directory, alongside lots of other local businesses. If you are looking for a plumber, a pub or a dentist, that is the place to start.

Run a business here? A listing is free and always will be. Add yours in two minutes.

The Sheppertonian podcast and newsletter are produced by The Sound Boutique: bespoke music and podcast production services.

If The Sheppertonian is useful to you, you can help keep it free for £5/month or £50/year. You can also support us by forwarding this newsletter to someone.
